Research Workshop, Getting Started, Allegheny: Citation Generators & NoodleTools

This guide for introductory level students highlights resources available on the library website including OneSearch, finding datatbases by subject and citing sources for the Allegheny Campus Research Workshops.

Databases & Citations

Many of the Library Databases provide Citation assistance for the articles. In the Tools area located on the Detailed Record page and the Article page, look for features like "Cite" or "Cite Now!"

Do a final check to make certain that the citation correct formatting, punctuation and content!

Citation Tools: NoodleTools

NoodleTools is an online tool for creating works cited lists. Use it with MLA, APA, or Chicago styles. It helps you create your citations, and generates your bibliography. Create folders and store citations for multiple projects.

NoodleTools for Organizing Sources and Creating Notecards & Outlines

In addition to helping generate citations and fully formatted bibliographies for all major style guides, NoodleTools also helps you:

  • keep track of sources
  • organize thoughts
  • avoid plagiarism
  • create notecards & outlines
