The links listed below are a collection of resources to assist students in navigating beyond high school, or high school equivalency, in order to make informed decisions when choosing Career Pathways. This course guide includes online tools for career exploration, job searching, resume and interview preparation, researching academic programs of interest, connecting with apprenticeships, and locating training centers. The guide is a resource, but certainly not a complete list of opportunities.
"Pennsylvania CareerZone is a proven, successful career exploration and planning system designed especially for students. Comprehensive information on 900 occupations includes state specific wages, worker attributes, job characteristics, and much more. There are 300 career videos that give users a snap shot of the featured occupation."
Developed by the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board, the Pittsburgh Works site "is a collaboration of more than 80 workforce development organizations united in the effort to increasing the number of job seekers connected to well-paying jobs in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County."
