Databases & Citations

citation tools

Many of the Library Databases provide Citation assistance for the articles. In the Tools area located on the Detailed Record page and the Article page, look for features like "Cite" or "Cite Now!"

Do a final check to make certain that the citation correct formatting, punctuation and content!

What is Plagiarism?

Watch a short video from the Library's Credo Information Literacy Learning Module on Information Ethics to learn how to cite your sources and avoid plagiarism in your college research and writing

The best way to avoid plagiarism is to cite anything you quote, paraphrase, summarize, or refer to in your paper. Even if you rewrite the author’s passage in your own words, you must credit the author for their idea.
