ENG 101, Livingston: Citations

This guide provides resources for Livingston's ENG 101 courses. These resources will help you find, analyze, and cite sources for a wide range of topics.

Citations are the big hurdle at the end of every good research paper. Below you will find tips and tools to help create and manage citations. Remember that librarians are available in person and over chat to assist in citation creation as well as citation management instruction. 

MLA Overview

MLAMLA style, developed by the Modern Language Association, is used for English, foreign languages and general topics. MLA requires parenthetical citations within the text and a corresponding bibliography or works cited list at the end of the paper.

Copies of the MLA Handbook may be obtained through the campus libraries, check the library catalog for availability.

Citation Management Tools

NoodleTools is an online tool for creating works cited lists. Use it with MLA, APA, or Chicago styles. It helps you create your citations, and generates your bibliography. Create folders and store citations for multiple projects.
