This introductory survey course embraces differences based on age, race, gender, sexual orientation, national origin or physical or mental ability. Ethnic and Diversity studies is the study of the social, emotional, cultural, and historical forces that have shaped the development of America's diverse ethnic and minority groups over the last 500 years. This course should result in an understanding of the factors that create the attitudes and behaviors in the various cultural and minority group.
