Teaching Online: An Introduction to Online Delivery

This workshop explores basic components of online course delivery. Participants will be introduced to best practices for teaching in an online learning environment, the instructor’s role and the learner’s role in the online classroom, the importance of getting (and keeping) students engaged, and methods of facilitating online discussions using the discussion board. Virtual Campus

Virtual Campus (VC) is the primary faculty training and support resource for teaching online. VC leadership and staff include Instructional Technologists, Instructional Designers, and Support Specialists available to assist faulty teaching in all modalities. Whether you are teaching on campus, online via Internet or Remote Learning (Zoom), or a Hybrid course the VC provides faculty training and support in these and many other areas:

The VC team is available to provide faculty support according to your needs:

  • Get help via Zoom, email, phone contact, or in-person sessions according to your preference
  • Support sessions and consultations can be five minutes or an hour as needed
