CORI: cycle of researching information

Explore Source Types

Learning Objectives

After completing this module, you will be able to:
Use strategies to identify the information need
Select sources that are most appropriate for your research question

Explore Source Types

Knowing what type of source to use for your research question is dependent on your information need. You won’t use the same source for choosing a vacation destination as you would for finding a new doctor because each research question has a different need. The same idea also applies to academic research.
